IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

REPEAT PRESCRIBING ORDERING SERVICE

The NHS across County Durham and the Tees Valley are making changes to the way you can order your repeat prescription.

Your community pharmacy will no longer be able to order your repeat medication, but you will be able to order your repeat medication directly with the practice, using the repeat ordering slip or online.

There is nothing to worry about - you will still receive the medication that you need.

If you order your repeat prescription directly from the GP practice this change will not affect you.

These changes will take effect from Monday 2nd September 2019.

Please ensure you order your repeat prescriptions when you have about 7 days of medication left and only order the medicines you need.

If you still want your community pharmacy to collect and deliver your prescription, please ensure you inform your chosen pharmacy.

Telephone Consultations

Sometimes you may require advice for which you do not need to see a doctor.  If this is the case, you can request a telephone consultation.  The receptionist will need to know briefly the nature of the request and also confirmation of the telephone number at which you wish to be contacted.

A doctor will call you back after their morning surgery although they cannot guarantee a specific time.
